In part one of future hall of fame point guard Steve Nash’s press conference he opened up with some brief statements to the Los Angeles Lakers. Then the floor opened up for questions, of course concerning his legacy.
Nash made sure to talk about his career and what he hopes his legacy is now that his career is over. He tells you everything you need to now about how he will sit back and reflect on his career now that it is officially all over.
Nash doesn’t seem to regret anything nor should he. He is going to go down as one of the greatest of all time. I mean, he had 4 of the all-time 40-50-90 seasons in NBA history.
It’s been done 10 times. 10 times a player has finished the season shooting 40% from the three point line, 50 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free throw line and Steve Nash did it 4 times. He missed it 2 other times by percentage points. Insane numbers from a point guard.
He recreated the position and he changed the game to be what it is now. Guys like Stephen Curry and Chris Paul do so many things Nash perfected and the make it work, just like Nash did.
Enjoy part 2 of the press conference and enjoy retirement, Steve Nash.
