When Stephen Curry is hot, he is the most unstoppable player in the NBA. In the Warriors high scoring battle with the Washington Wizards, Curry went off and put up 51 points, scoring 25 in the first quarter (he was 7-8 from three), and hitting 11 threes which is one off of the NBA record. In a high-scoring game, Curry led the way for the Warriors 134-121 victory over the Wizards.
Steph wasn’t the only point guard going off, as the Wizards John Wall also put up 41 points on 17-25 shooting. He also had 10 assists, compared to Steph’s 2 assists. Both of these players were completely unguardable, as Wall kept getting to the hoop for easy baskets, and Curry just didn’t miss any threes.
While the two point guards were the stars tonight, Draymond Green of the Warriors also was able to get a triple-double, scoring 12 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and assisting on 12 passes. Green was also very efficient, shooting 6 for 9 and his +/- was +20. He also did great on defense, blocking five shots.
In the first half of the game, Curry only missed one shot. Curry played one of his greatest games tonight, but it wasn’t an easy win for the Dubs with Wall and the Wizards scoring at a high pace too. In a battle of great point guards, Curry scored more, and his team got the win.
Curry and Wall battled all night and they had quite a duel.
