The Golden State Warriors came into their road game against the Charlotte Hornets knowing that it was ‘Dell Curry Night’ in Charlotte. Before the game, Warriors star guard and son of Dell, Stephen Curry, was getting interviewed by his dad but instead, Stephen turned the tables and interviewed Dell on what it means for him to be getting honored after his 10 year career in Charlotte.
Oddly enough, at the end of the interview, Dell jokingly told Steph not to steal the show. Little did he know, Stephen Curry would do just that in only three quarters of work.
Stephen Curry dropped 28 points in the third quarter alone to get to his 40 point mark on the night. Curry shot 14-18 from the field including 8-11 from three point range and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line in only 31 minutes of action. Stephen Curry has his six 40-point games this season which leads the NBA. Last season, he had three 40-point games all season long.
If he’s not the leading man for the MVP this season according to all fans across the board, especially after the Warriors 20-0 start, then there’s something wrong with the NBA and their fans.
