Coach Gregg Popovich is always saying what’s on his mind and he’s not afraid to ever voice concerns he has about his team. He was right when he ripped his San Antonio Spurs team after they lost to the New York Knicks.
Knicks defeated the Spurs at home in historic fashion for a defending champion to lose to such a bad team.
It wasn’t like the Knicks did any one thing particularly too well, the only real big number that stands out when you check the box score, is the difference in field goal percentage. The fact is still, the Spurs lost to the Knicks, the leagues worst NBA team.
This game can either do 2 things for the Spurs, it can either make them or break them and with the tough stretch they have going forward, without Manu Ginobili, it will be time to see what this years version of the Spurs are made of.
