For once, Shaquille O’Neal isn’t the biggest threat. The wilderness and the animals inhabiting it faced Shaq and Bear Grylls on a recent episode of the NBC show, ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’.
Grylls and the Hall of Fame big man traveled the Adirondack Mountains for two days and did a number of things to survive. They climbed up and down mountains, slept in leaves and even ate placenta. Yes, they ate placenta.
Shaq connected with Grylls by talking to him about his upbringing, his father and some of his best moments during his time in the NBA. Of course, he listed the alley-oop from Kobe Bryant during the 2000 Western Conference Finals as his most memorable moment in his NBA career. Beyond it being just a fantastic play, the big man revealed his historic point while running down the court also had a special meaning behind it.
The seven footer also talked with the survivalist about spending a million dollars in one day, wanting to be a sheriff to help bring communities together and how he went from bully to nerd in almost an instant.
