NBATV’s daily show ‘The Starters‘ is always a good source for some comic relief in the world of the NBA. Right now fans and those who cover the NBA are at a weird point in the season where there are no games until the NBA Finals start on Thursday. So there’s some need for fresh content until the games pick back up.
The team of J.E. Skeets, Tas Mels, Trey Kerby and Leigh Ellis decided to change the game a little bit and make a sacrifice to the ‘wedgie gods’ to bring them to the illustrious mark of 50 ‘wedgies’ in a season. A wedgie, in the world of ‘The Starters’, is when the basketball gets wedged between the backboard and the rim. The team is at 47 with a few more games to go and they could fall short of that mark.
The team decided to enlist the help of one of their bigger colleagues. Actually, probably their biggest colleague at Turner Sports, Shaquille O’Neal.
Shaq gave the unlucky Skeets a wedgie he will not soon forget.
