Even though Washington took a tough loss to the D-League Select game on Sunday, Kelly Oubre was able to score this basket thanks to a pristine pass by Scott Machado. Machado was able to get the pass right through the legs of defender Taylor Griffin for Oubre to be able to finish the play with a slam dunk.

There was a lot of ugly play in the blowout loss for Washington, but a play like this is something that may not even happen in an NBA game. John Wall may not even risk trying to do somehting like this in a game, especially if his chance to make a roster was on the line. It’s hard to say if attempting something like this is risky or just stupid, but it was one of the few things that actually worked for the Wizards in the loss.
Oubre and Jerrid Famous were the lone stars for the Wizards in their 94-74 loss, so at least the guy guaranteed a roster spot is the one performing. Summer League doesn’t mean much as far as winning, but it would still be nice to gain some bragging rights over other teams in the league.
