Russell Westbrook had quite the game when he lead his Oklahoma City Thunder into Banker’s Life Field House to take on the Indiana Pacers in a game that meant so much to both teams fighting for a playoff spot in their respective conferences.
Russell Westbrook dropped a career-high 54 points on 21-43 shooting, 5-15 from 3-point range and 7-11 from the free throw line to score more than half of his teams points. Russ also grabbed 9 rebounds, and handed out 8 assists on the night. Westbrook’s scoring performance was the most allowed by the Pacers at home, just surpassing the scoring output by Mo Williams earlier in the season when Mo was a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In typical Russell Westbrook fashion, he doesn’t care what anyone would think about his possible ‘excessive’ shooting during the game.

The huge performance wasn’t enough from the MVP candidate as OKC went home with a loss to the Indiana Pacers. During the game, Westbrook was handed his 16th technical of the season, which could warrant a suspension in the Thunder’s next game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Plus, now with the Thunder loss, they remain in the 9th spot in the Western Conference with only 2 games in the season remaining.
It’s not looking great for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
