Russell Westbrook loves to take over games, with or without Kevin Durant. It was no different as he tied his career-high with 45 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder with a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Westbrook scored his 45 points in 40 minutes, on 18-31 shooting, 2-6 from three-point range, 7-9 from the free throw line, with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Pelicans are hot off a win against the NBA’s best in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks. Thunder are trying to climb up the Western Conference playoff ladder to sneak into that 8 spot and if Russell Westbrook keep putting out performances like this, partnered with Kevin Durant when KD is healthy, then everyone should be scared.
The Thunder are currently 1 game over .500 on the season and they are 2.5 games out of the 8 seed.
Keep on pushing OKC.
