The 2015 draft class has been a revelation in the NBA this season. From the very top to deep down, there have been incredible players with high potentials taking the league by storm early in their careers.
Among those promising rookies are Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker and Denver Nuggets point guard Emmanuel Mudiay. Both players have had ups and downs but the potential for future success can be seen in both of them.
That potential came to fruition for at least one night when the two players and their respective teams matched up in Denver. While the game itself turned into a blowout with Denver winning 116-98, there was a show going on as the two rookies matched each other step for step.
For the Suns, Booker scored 35 points on 12-24 shooting and added five assists and three rebounds. Additionally, the rook played 44 minutes, attempting to lead his sliding team.
The Nuggets, meanwhile, received a big game from their rookie. Mudiay finished with 30 points on a very efficient 13-20 shooting, five assists and two rebounds.
The two rookies stepped up their games on their respective, young teams. Only one walked away with a win, but both Devin Booker and Emmanuel Mudiay showed why their teams selected them and why they could be big-time players in the league.
