Some records are just meant to be broken; this time this record looked untouchable back in 2010.
This is how Peyton Manning joined the record books and became the NFL all-time leader in career passing yards https://t.co/snFpuavBph

Brett Favre’s 71,838 yard marker looked safe as he is the only quarterback to ever win a playoff game over the age of 40. Manning entered the game just 2 yards away from breaking the record. With Manning’s career may be on his last leg the accomplishment is an unfathomable one to say the least.
Peyton Manning officially moved past Favre during the game at home against the Chiefs. Manning spent the vast majority of his career with the Colts as guys like Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison make up a bulk of Manning’s passing yards.Time will tell if Manning can extend his lead as it is expected that Manning will retire following the conclusion of the season.
