The Wizards may have lost to the Hawks and given up home court advantage, but Paul Pierce had himself one heck of a game, which included this step back three-point shot. In the first quarter of the 106-101 loss, Pierce pump-faked to get DeMarre Carroll flying, spun around, and stepped back to get himself wide open for a three-pointer. Being the baller he is, Pierce hit the shot, which was just one of his three three-pointers made in the first quarter alone.
Unfortunately for the Wizards, Pierce was able to only hit two more three-pointers in the other three-quarters. He only missed two throughout the game, but either of those would have been clutch enough to help the Wizards push the game into overtime. The Wizards are going to need to continue to see smart play from The Truth so they can win Game 5, and send the series back to Verizon Center with an opportunity to clinch the Eastern Conference Semifinals in front of the home crowd.
