Now that Paul Pierce has won his first playoff series as a Wizard, he seems to have become a fan of other teams in DC. Along with teammates, Pierce watched Game 7 of the series between the Washington Capitals and the New York Islanders in the front row. With the victory for the Capitals, both the Wizards and Capitals have now won a playoff series, and are headed to the second round of their respective sport.
Pierce seems to be enjoying himself in Washington through his play in games, and through his interaction with the Islanders in the playoff game he attended. As an Islanders player was approaching the area Pierce was sitting at, Pierce began to bang on the glass to distract the Islanders player. Now that Pierce has been converted to a fan of DC sports, he may have even more reason to get this city the championship it deserves.
