August 1st, 2014 and Indiana Pacers All-Star guard/forward, Paul George, suffered possibly one of the worst on-court injuries in the history of basketball during a scrimmage for Team USA’s training camp for the FIBA World Cup of Basketball.
Since then, we’ve seen him progress. Taking jump shots, removing the boot and even dunking as of recently.
In this great video from Bleacher Report, they talk to Paul and his parents about his horrific injury. George still won’t see the video and has a tough time talking about it.
It’s part of Bleacher Report’s new series: “Paul George’s Road Back: Reliving the Nightmare Ep. 1“.
This series by Bleacher Report documenting George’s return, which hopefully will make him better than ever.
Bleacher Report has been filming George over the last few months and will be creating a multipart video series about his return to the NBA.
The Road Back: Part One is the first time George has gone in-depth about the injury, as well as his surgery and rehab. We get his perspective, along with that of his family, who was there during the distressing injury in Las Vegas.
Follow Paul George on Instagram and Twitter to see additional content during his path back to the NBA.
Shout out to Bleacher Report for the great piece.
