Pau Gasol has been a revelation for the Chicago Bulls playing without Jimmy Butler. With Butler once again sitting out a game, the center put the team on his back once again.
In what eventually became a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, Gasol posted his second triple-double of the season, once again showcasing the full skillset that has made him known as one of the most skilled big-men in the history of the NBA.
Pau struggled with his shooting, scoring only 12 points on 4-14 shooting but added 17 rebounds and 13 assists to contribute across the floor. The big-man also added one steal and five blocked shots, showing his impact on both ends of the floor. In fact, the 12-17-13-5 line is one that has not occurred at all in the NBA since at least the 1983-84 season.
The Bulls have dropped low in the standings since Butler’s original injury. However, with performance like this from Pau Gasol, it is hard not to see them in the playoffs.
