As the season ended for O.J. Mayo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a 120-66 loss to the Chicago Bulls, Mayo chose to give some of his playoff gear to fans in the stands as he walked through the tunnel. Mayo handed his shoes to a young fan, while also handing his shooting shirt to another fan in the stands. These fans stuck around to the end even with their team losing the entire game without and opportunity to win.
The move shows a lot of class for a player like Mayo to choose fans over himself in the game that ended his season. Instead of heading to the lockerroom angry after the loss, Mayo rewarded the fans who helped guide this team from the draft lottery to the playoffs. Mayo is a class-act, and should be looked upon by many as one who is a role model as a basketball player, and as a person.
