Nicolas Batum’s career year in the final stage of his current contract continues to turn everyone’s head since being traded to the Charlotte Hornets over the summer. Last night, he added to his successful 2015-16 campaign when he put up his second triple-double of the season, this time against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers.
Batum led all scorers with 19 points on 8-16 shooting while also handing out 12 assists and grabbing 12 rebounds on the night. This season, Batum is averaging 15.3 points per game shooting 42.6% from the field, 35.4% from three-point range with 6.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists. The Hornets have also solidified their position in the Eastern Conference playoffs and as of late, they have been one of the NBA’s best teams since the NBA All-Star break and Batum is one of the biggest reasons why.
