This is a joke, right? The newest stadium in the NBA had to stop play. Due to a leak?
I think they should’ve taken it back to old school street ball rules and play around it.
A bunch of New Yorkers who have played ball in the parks know, if there’s a puddle, don’t dribble the ball in it. If the concrete is messed up, dribble around it.
I see no difference here, leave the trash can and paper on the floor and just play around it.
The game between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat was halted with 1:47 remaining in the first quarter, and delayed the game 31 minutes before the leak could be contained.
I hope they at least provided the fans with something cool while they wait 31 minutes for play to be resumed. 31 minutes, for a leak, in a new stadium. I’m at a loss for words.
The stadium’s twitter account says, this will not be happening again.
Tonight's delay was caused by a water leak due to the installation of our new green roof. We've taken all necessary steps to rectify.
