The Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons just played in a battle that came down to the very end. With the game tied 101-101 and the clock winding down, the Grizzlies trusted none other than Mario Chalmers with the basketball. Mario dribbled around, was about to attempt a shot, but the ball got stripped. He immediately ran for the ball inside the three-point line, and as soon as he grabbed it, he threw it up. With an opposing player barreling into his legs, Chalmers got fouled but hit the game-winner regardless with 0.8 seconds left on the clock.
Mario Chalmers started today for injured Mike Conley, and he responded by scoring 25 points for the Grizzlies. He also assisted on 8 passes, and he grabbed 3 steals. Mario was also +7 when he was on the floor tonight. Mario did a great job replacing Conley, and that will probably help him receive more minutes in the future when Conley comes back.
