Boston Celtics and the San Antonio Spurs faced off in San Antonio and the Spurs were properly handling the Celtics.
While the C’s are fighting for a playoff spot, the Spurs quickly subdued the young, upstart Boston team and was leading them by 20 early on in the 4th quarter.
Then, after a high pick and roll, Marcus Smart took out his frustration on Matt Bonner.
No, he didn’t punch him in the face, Smart didn’t push him and he didn’t even smack his arm or anything.
Marcus Smart went right for the family jewels. He winded up and released his hand, rocking Bonner right under the belt.
Bonner didn’t like it one bit and neither did the refs. Smart was assessed a flagrant 2 foul and he was ejected.
A possible fine/suspension coming from the NBA for sure.
