Speaking of Manu, in the game he scored 13 points and had 3 assists coming off the bench. One of the assists was on a pick-and-roll play between Manu and Aron Baynes. Manu used the screen and was met by Dewayne Dedmon. Instead of throwing a pass over or around Dedmon to the open Baynes, Manu chose to throw a pass right through him. Not literally through him, but Manu throws the pass to Baynes through Dedmon’s legs. Again, making a stellar pass like he has done so many other times in his career. Baynes catches the pass and is wide open for an easy dunk. Solid veteran play and smart passes just like this have helped the Spurs greatly in keeping this 18 straight playoff appearance streak alive.
