LeBron James made sure to acknowledge his fellow Cleveland sports legend before Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The great Jim Brown, former Browns running back, was courtside at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland to watch LeBron James lead the Cavaliers to a 2-1 lead against the Warriors.
Mark Jackson added on the commentary that these are two of the greatest athlete we’ve ever seen acknowledging each other. William Rhoden of the New York Times published a column about James and Brown’s bond on Wednesday.
LeBron definitely derives some of his motivation from being able to perform in front of the likes of Jim Brown, who is so beloved to the city of Cleveland for bringing a Super Bowl championship to the city 51 years ago. The impact of LeBron winning an NBA title for Cleveland would be much greater.
