Larry Nance Jr is continuing his devastation of everything that is NBA “rim protection”. The young Lakers star dunker is living up to his family name and making Larry Nance Sr one proud Dad.
Last month, Nance Jr put down a huge dunk all over Golden State Warriors big man David West. Nance was even nice enough to cup West’s head as to possibly protect his soft spot from any potential damage. It was really cute.
But now Nance has a new victim. This time his subject of devastation in the form of a huge posterizing dunk was a man who was just a bit taller than West, a bit younger and a far better rim protector.
Brooklyn Nets big man Brook Lopez is quietly among some of the top rim protectors in the league. He’s top five in the NBA in blocked shots per game and his 7’1″ frame help with a lot of that coverage. But unfortunately for Brook, his length, wingspan, and even his courage couldn’t stop what was coming his way. Larry Nance Jr made Brook another victim as the youngster looks to lock in a bid in the 2017 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
