Over the last year, there has been a small bit of uproar surrounding the newest basketball family on the rise. The Ball family out of California has a trio of sons who all can hoop, and the youngest boy might be the best out of them all. Lonzo Ball is currently enrolled at UCLA, but his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball play together on the Chino Hills High School varsity squad. While the three Ball boys might be amateur hoops stars right now, don’t expect them to stay college hoops for very long. Their father already declared his boys will all be one-and-done college athletes.
The Chino Hills squad took on Los Osos on Tuesday night and with LiAngelo sidelined due to an ankle injury; all eyes were on LaMelo to produce. And well, he certainly delivered beyond expectations.
LaMelo Ball scored 92 points, a Ball family record, and he did it pretty efficiently. He went 30-39 from inside the arc and 7-22 from three-point range and we all know LaMelo has some range. Ball also went 11-14 from the free throw line, handed out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds.
By the way, LaMelo Ball is only a Sophomore in high school.

Oh, and on top of Ball’s fantastic game, his teammate also racked up a triple-double.
LaMelo tweeted out the following after the contest. He dedicated his historical output to his sick classmate, Alexis Anderson. You can find out more about her story on her GoFundMe page where you can donate to help pay for her medical expenses.
