We know Kyrie Irving to be a master of fancy layups. Irving is one of the best young guards in the league with the basketball in his hands. In the first quarter of Game 1 of the conference semifinals against the Bulls, Irving got himself going with a really tough reverse layup over Pau Gasol.
Kyrie drove by Derrick Rose to the right base line and met Pau who was under the basket and jumped vertically. Irving jumped at Gasol, used the rim as a shield, and finished a reverse layup with his right hand on the other side of the rim. Honestly, Irving probably increased the degree of difficulty based on how he chose to finish this, but he’s that good at making tough shots at the rim.
