Kyrie Irving has some of the best handles in the game. If you are familiar with NBA 2K16, Shaq even says that Kyrie and Steph are tied for having the top quickest dribble moves in the NBA right now before some Cleveland Cavaliers games. Tonight, in the Cav’s victory (Tyronn Lue’s first dub) over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kyrie had Tayshaun Prince spinning around in circles.
Late in the third period, Kyrie was handling the ball. He was covered by Tayshaun Prince, and Tristan Thompson set a screen for him, but he went the opposite way of it. Tayshaun did a good job of not falling for the fake screen, but when Kyrie picked up that he didn’t fall for it, he stepped back through the legs while Tayshaun kept going towards the hoop. Tayshaun tried to stop himself, but he ended up spinning around as Kyrie shot and made a wide open three.
Unluckily for the Timberwolves, Tayshaun was not the only person that Kyrie had running around tonight. Early in the first quarter, Kyrie drove on Ricky Rubio, quickly stopped, and popped a mid-range jumper.
