Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Timofey Mozgov to primarily be a rim protector and hold down the middle for the Cavaliers while the rest of the team produces on the offensive end.
For the second game in a row, last night against the Brooklyn Nets, Mozgov came out of his comfort zone and connected with Kyrie Irving for some huge dunks primarily off pick and roll plays.
Kyrie Irving isn’t afraid to score at all, we know that very well, but seeing him gel with Mozgov adds another dynamic to this Cavaliers team that makes them even scarier.
Alley-oops and big slams coming right down the middle are exactly what the Cavaliers need to keep Mozgov rolling. Get all the easy stuff while you can Timofey because come playoff time, you won’t be used as a main option.
Plus, you just have to enjoy Mozgov’s yellow shoes.
