One of the biggest bright spots of the first few weeks of the NBA season has been New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis. Since being booed after getting drafted fourth overall, Porzingis has been nothing short of incredible for the Knicks. The rookie sensation continued his strong play in Saturday’s 107-102 win against the Houston Rockets. Porzingis scored 24 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and blocked seven shots while often looking like the best player on the court for either team. The blocked shots do not even completely grasp his defensive impact as his presence dissuaded James Harden from driving to the rim multiple times in crunch time.
It appears likely that the Knicks have found themselves a star in the making with Porzingis.
