VIDEO: Kobe Bryant’s Game-Winning Hook Shot Vs. Pacers
Kobe Bryant finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and this go-ahead shot that would give the Lakers their final 88-87 lead over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
The Lakers rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half. Kobe scored nine of his points in the final 2:32, which included a corner three-pointer gave the Lakers an 84-82 lead with two minutes left.
In the final play, Kobe simply got to his spot as he did most of the game. He uses the ball screen to free up some space, changes direction with a spin, and lands a hook floater right in his sweet spot in the lane.
This was Kobe’s fourth game back from a three-game rest encouraged by head coach Byron Scott. Kobe shot an efficient 7-for-14 from the field and 2-for-3 from three-point range. Kobe posted a triple-double on New Year’s Even in a win against Denver and was one rebound and two assists shy of another in the Lakers 106-109 loss to Memphis on Friday.
Although he reportedly won’t travel with the team for their back-to-back in Portland, Kobe did his job on Sunday.
