With the Lakers trailing big against the Raptors on Friday, it took more heroics from Kobe Bryant (42 points, 11 assists) to beat Toronto. Bryant made three shots from downtown with less than two minutes remaining and every one of them was vital for the Lakers to survive. The pressure kept increasing between shots and Kobe delivered.
Bryant became the first player to have 40+ points and 10+ assists in back two back games since Michael Jordan did it in April of 1989. The win moves the Lakers closer to the playoffs, they are only 0.5 games away from catching the struggling Utah Jazz for the eight and final playoff spot, they have lost three straight games.
