Kevin Garnett is old. He is no longer a great player. Garnett’s role in the league is as a mentor for the young core of the Minnesota Timberwolves while providing a few minutes as a bench player for the team.
In Monday’s 110-106 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, however, Garnett turned into something much more. The veteran forward took a transition pass from Ricky Rubio and turned it into a rim-breaking dunk over Blake Griffin.
I’m not sure if Garnett has jumped that high in the past four or five years, but that’s a phenomenal dunk. And of course, plenty of trash talking to go with it.
