The Charlotte Hornets are clinging to their hopes of reaching the playoffs. They received an extra burst in that race courtesy of point guard Kemba Walker.
The much-improved player was able to help the Hornets win a close game against the Indiana Pacers with a game-winning layup after slicing through the Pacers defense. Walker did not have the most efficient shooting night, going 8-21 from the field, but he was able to contribute 10 assists along with his 22 points.
Kemba’s stellar play was huge for the Hornets, leading them to a crucial win. The team now sits at 30-271 only half a game behind these same Pacers. Additionally, they currently hold the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, with the Bulls, Wizards, and Pistons all racing to catch them.
Every game matters for the Hornets and they were able to use a fantastic play from their star in order to pull this one out.
