Kelly Oubre has proven to be a defensive monster after his first two games as a member of the Washington Wizards in the NBA’s Summer League. His length and athleticism allows him to guard anybody he faces against and his smarts put him in the right spots to steal passes.

Sunday’s loss to the NBA D-League Select team may have been a rough game for most on Washington, but Oubre’s defense was one of the highlights. Before the game got away, he made this steal while playing the passing lane, and show all the way to the basket for an open dunk.
Oubre was able to finish his 31 minutes of play with 18 points on 5/17 shooting, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal. A little more production from some of his teammates would have kept the Wizards in the game, and maybe they would had a chance to win at the end.
Washington has another chance to grab a win on Tuesday when they face the Summer League team of the Dallas Mavericks. They are currently 0-2 and need to grab a win so they don’t end up without a win when the summer season comes to a end.
