Kawhi Leonard is the best defender in the NBA, and when you try to get a pass by him, likely it won’t get by him. That is what happened on this play during the San Antonio Spurs game five loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. With the game nearing an end, the Thunder tried to get the ball to Russell Westbrook in the corner. The two time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner, Kawhi, was not about to let that happen. He jumped in front of the pass and made an amazing steal. The best part of this play didn’t happen until the offensive end though. Kawhi ran up the floor without passing, but Westbrook is super fast and got in front of Leonard at the end of the play. This didn’t matter to Kawhi as he rose to slam the ball down anyways, and he threw down a ferocious one-handed slam on Westbrook to end the fastbreak.
