Kawhi Leonard is the future for the San Antonio Spurs, and he showed us why tonight. In game three, the San Antonio Spurs demolished the Los Angeles Clippers to go up 2-1, and Leonard was a huge part of that.
Kawhi Leonard scored a career-high 32 points in the Spurs 100-73 win. He beat his previous career-high of 29 which he scored last season in the NBA Finals against the Heat. Kawhi scored all of his points in a short amount of time, as Leonard was on the court for just 29 minutes. He shot 13-18 on the night and went 3-5 from deep adding 4 rebounds to his line for the night. He played amazing defense as well, stealing the ball 3 times and blocking 2 shots. He also threw down an emphatic alley-oop dunk off of a great pass from Danny Green.
This has been a great week for Kawhi Leonard as he won the Defensive Player of the Year award just a few days ago. He is truly a special talent for the Spurs, and look for him to carry the momentum of this game with him as the Spurs look to take the series against the Clippers.
