K.J. McDaniels hasn’t gotten a ton of playing time in the NBA, but the former Clemson standout got significant playing time tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers. K.J. may have only had 4 points on the night, but his two made baskets were on some great plays.
Midway through the 3rd quarter, James Harden found McDaniels in the corner. McDaniels pump faked, then drove by LeBron James. When he got to the rim, he bumped into Tristan Thompson, pushed through him, and made a pretty reverse layup.
Then, about halfway through the third quarter, Harden found McDaniels again. On the fastbreak, K.J. cut behind Kyrie Irving. He then found nothing between him and the basket, and ran straight towards it. Harden through him the alley-oop, and K.J. finished it with a nasty jam.
In a tight battle, the Rockets came up short, losing to the Cavs 128-120. James Harden had a monster game, scoring 41 points and assisting on 15 passes.
