John Wall has the ability to dominate a basketball game. Going against the Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night was an important test for Wall’s Wizards as Davis was coming off a career performance of 59 points and 20 rebounds against the Pistons on Sunday. Davis grabbed 20 rebounds against the Wizards but failed to score in double digits, as did the rest of his teammates.
Wall finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists as the Wizards took a 109-89 win at home. It was Wall’s fifth career triple-double and second of this season. He becomes the seventh player with multiple triple-doubles this season, joining Draymond Green, Russell Westbrook, Rajon Rondo, Hassan Whiteside, Steph Curry, and James Harden, per ESPN Stats & Info.
