Washington’s Summer League team beat Utah’s in order to advance to the next round, but that didn’t come without John Wall’s help. Wall was caught coaching up Kelly Oubre Jr, trying to help Washington make it another round into the summer league playoffs.

If Oubre is able to build on his strong performances so far, he could be around with Wall for a long time as a member of the Washington Wizards. As long as the two see eye-to-eye next season and for a while down the road, they can both continue to develop as individuals and teammates.
It is always important to have a good relationship with your point guard, so growing a relationship with Wall would not be such a bad idea for Oubre either. He will be the one getting the rookie touches and open shots, so keeping the face of the franchise on your side as a newbie would be a fantastic idea.

Wall needs to make sure the team’s first round pick is ready for next season. With a team on the brink of making a deep run into the playoffs, each player matters, and Oubre needs to be able to make an impact at any given moment.
