JJ Redick had himself a night on Monday. The Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard had a monumental effort in shooting the ball. Redick ended up with 40 points on 11-19 shooting, including an incredible 9-12 on shots beyond the arc. Redick made his first five attempts from three.
For the Clippers, every one of those points mattered as they won a nail-biter in overtime against the Houston Rockets. Redick, who played 38 minutes in the victory, shouldered the bulk of the load for a team missing star Blake Griffin again due to an injury. The veteran guard has been phenomenal all year, shooting at a nearly 50-50-90 clip for the year. On Monday night, however, he caught fire en route to a new career-high in points scored. As a team, the Clippers made a franchise record 22 threes in the game.
With Redick’s monster performance leading the way, the Clippers improved to 27-14 on the year, while the Rockets fell 22-21.
