There was a matinée showcased in Memphis yesterday between two teams fighting for their lives in the Western Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns dueled until the final second when Jeff Green clinched a victory for the Grizz in one of the craziest ways imaginable.
With 0.8 seconds remaining in the game and the Grizzlies tied up with the Suns, there were few options for Memphis. You can catch and shoot with that time remaining but I wouldn’t trust anyone on the Grizzlies current roster to do that. So why not draw up an alley-oop play to end the game?
Courtney Lee threw a perfect pass to Jeff Green who had to power through some Suns defenders to put down the game-winning slam for the Grizzlies win.
