James Harden had an amazing dunk during the second quarter of game 5 against the Dallas Mavericks. On the dunk, he used Josh Smith’s screen to get by Devin Harris, and he saw daylight towards the rim. Harden capitalized on this daylight, and he ran straight to the rim to throw down a huge one-handed slam. The dunk put the Rockets up 49-43 with 1:30 remaining in the first half. Harden played a great game, scoring 28 points on 9-19 shooting, and he also had 8 assists.
The Rockets were up 3-1 in the series going into tonight’s game, and they won the game 103-91 to knock the Mavericks out of the playoffs and punch their ticket to the next round. The Rockets will take on the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs series in the second round.
