For the second straight night, ‘The Beared One’, James Harden, dropped 40 points on the road against a Western Conference opponent in a Houston Rockets victory.
On Friday, it was against the Sacramento Kings when Harden dropped 43 points, handed out 13 assists and grabbed six rebounds but the Kings were also without their best player, DeMarcus Cousins, so Harden had free reign to go off as he pleased.
On Saturday, the Rockets were visiting the Los Angeles Clippers, a team who has been in the news lately for some things none of the players did. The Clippers were also coming off a loss to their rival Golden State Warriors which saw their point guard Chris Paul injure his groin. With his injury, Paul was forced to sit out against the Rockets.
No matter the circumstance, it didn’t matter to Harden this weekend. He dropped 46 points on the Clippers on 14-26 shooting from the field, 5-10 shooting from the three-point line and he also went 13-14 from the free throw line.
