Ever since Isaiah Thomas was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Boston Celtics, the Celtics have improved and have seemed to gain some kind of swagger. Boston has embraced the role of being the underdog and a team that everybody thought was going to be tanking for draft position. Thomas has been a great addition, and has been making spectacular plays like this one ever since he was traded to Boston.
Thomas first got by James Jones by crossing him up and was then met by both Timofey Mozgov and Iman Shumpert at the rim. instead of forcing up a shot that many other players would have done, Thomas chosen to make the pass to the wide open man on the three-point line for a wide open shot.
Plays like this build the chemistry needed for any team to make a run in the playoffs. The Celtics may not be good enough to push the Cavs once playoff time comes, but with many Cavs stars getting some rest, Boston was bale to dominate 117-78. Boston needs to enjoy this while it last, and they should be proud for doing far better than how anybody thought they would perform this season.
