There are enough reasons why Isaiah Thomas is tough for guards to handle. He has great quickness and strength at his size and kills you from the perimeter and on the drive. He’s also an impressive athlete, as shown in this acrobatic highlight from Thomas against the Jazz.
Essentially catching an alley-oop, Thomas came across the lane and caught a pass mid-air from Marcus Smart only to stay in the air, show a little hang time, and finish the lay up on the other side of the rim. Thomas was able to finish with his strong (left) hand on the right side for a nifty reverse layup that takes a significant amount of core strength.
