Isaiah Canaan joined the Phoenix Suns this season after battling his way back into the NBA through the G League with the Northern Arizona Suns. Unfortunately, after only playing 18 games with the Suns, Canaan’s season is all but over. He suffered a horrific injury in the first half of the Phoenix Suns win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
Warning: the video below is graphic.
The Suns officially announced he suffered a fractured ankle.

Canaan was fighting to make a roster after being waived by the Chicago Bulls over the summer. He started the preseason with the Oklahoma City Thunder but was eventually cut after three games.
He joined a Houston Rockets, a team that originally drafted him in the second round of the 2013 draft, to start the 2017-18 season but was waived after playing only one game. He joined the NBA G League Agua Caliente Clippers but before he suited up for the team he was traded to the Northern Arizona Suns and fought his was back to the NBA.
Canaan has played five season in the NBA suiting up for four different NBA teams and two different NBA G League teams. He has posted career averages of 8.5 points per game, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
We send all the best to Isaiah as he makes his return to the court. Players all across the NBA also shared their best to Canaan.
