This is just plain old ruthless.
I get it. You play for the New York Knicks. You’re losing a second consecutive game to the Atlanta Hawks. You’re down 7 with 33 seconds to go. You’re Iman Shumpert, so why’re you out there?
Well to try and create something, do something spectacular that will get people to talk about you for a while. And by that i mean actually maybe winning the game or hitting a huge shot.
Not taking the basketball and rocketing it towards another man’s groin region. You decide if he meant any ill-will or intended to do this.

Now whether this is intentional or not towards Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha, no one will ever know. I do get Shumpert’s mindset though, clock is running down, no timeouts, hit it of sefolosha and get the new inbound time. This though, this took the cake.
