The NBA’s summer league is all about showcasing talents and trying to earn a spot on an NBA roster, but Hasheem Thabeet did exactly the opposite of that in a lopsided victory over the Washington Wizards. He was assessed a double technical foul for arguing a call where his team actually ended up going to the free throw line.
Thabeet was angered after he took a shot of his own where he felt he was hacked and a foul should have been called. Instead, play went on, but a teammate got the rebound and put a shot back up, was fouled by a Washington player, and then was awarded a trip to the free throw line.
Washington went on to make 1 out of 2 free throws on the technical.

The Memphis Grizzlies selected Thabeet second overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. He is the highest drafted player of all time to be sent down to the NBA’s D-League.
No team wants a player with attitude issues, especially if they are going to be coming off the bench and receiving limited minutes. This ejection could have certainly cost Thabeet a training camp invite, so he needs to keep his cool and just play basketball starting now.
