San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is already in mid-season form before the season even starts. Usually, media day in the NBA is a time where guys talk about how much muscle they’ve gained in the offseason or how their family has moved around and gotten acclimated to the area or they even talk about how much they’re excited to get the season started with expectation A for themselves and expectation B for their team.
Not San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. While media day is mostly a light-hearted, fun day where all the media members and members of the organization meet together to reflect on the summer and look towards the season, coach Pop elected to bring a certain familiar flavor during an interview on NBATV.
NBATV anchor Jared Greenberg was the victim this time to a great Gregg Popovich moment and he fell victim to the typical Popovich stone-faced reaction to everything. He grilled Greenberg and eventually either Pop felt bad or this was planned all along because he eventually revealed that he was just messing around with Greenberg.
Others during the season might not get so lucky with Coach Pop.
