The Milwaukee Bucks have not had much to enjoy this season. Luckily for them, they were able to turn their fortunes around for one night as they hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in Kobe Bryant’s final game in Milwaukee.
The Bucks were able to take advantage of the Lakers shortcomings in securing a 108-101 win. The game itself was not that close, only having a slim margin due to a late Lakers run in garbage time.
While the Lakers’ issues helped, the Bucks were also able to make use of a monstrous game from small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who recorded his first career triple-double. The Greek Freak scored 27 points (on 12-17 shooting) while adding 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Giannis also added three steals and four blocks, coming painfully close to a 5×5 game.
Giannis has been an intriguing player in his short career. With immense athleticism and length, he has all the physical tools to be great. The Bucks’ forward has also come into his own in how he plays, leading many to claim he can be a great player in the NBA.
Among those praising Giannis, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant:
Kobe on Giannis: "He's unbelievable. I don't think he understands how much talent he has."

Kobe also spoke to Giannis after the game, giving him advice on how to improve his game. For the 21 year old, it was an apparently great moment as he received praise from one of his idols.
At the moment, Giannis has more to be proud of than just receiving praise from one of the greatest players in NBA history, having notched his first triple-double en route to showcasing his talent for all to see.
