It’s almost a forgone conclusion that Jahlil Okafor will be a lottery pick and probably won’t slip past the top 5 picks. The only uncertainty right now is where the former Duke Blue Devils big man will land. Well, thanks to Bleacher Report, we find out where Jah will play but in a new and different way.
Okafor played some ‘NBA Pong’ to decide where he might land in the NBA. Jahlil saying he ‘never played beer pong’ was a great answer by the big man but he did knock down some cups and would be a great ‘pong’ partner.
First team to go was the Orlando Magic, who probably wouldn’t take him anyway, and as it came down to the wire, 3 of the most historic NBA franchises were remaining. The Los Angeles Lakers were the first of the final 3 to go, then the Philadelphia 76ers and finally Jahlil ended up with the cup with the New York Knicks logo on it.
Well, unfortunately for Jah, if the Knicks land in the top 2 picks, it looks like New York will be rolling with Karl Anthony-Towns out of Kentucky. Towns wants to end up in New York anyway so that just seems like a match made in heaven. Okafor with the Minnesota Timberwolves or even the Los Angeles Lakers could possibly be a great match though so maybe he should’ve picked his cups wisely.
